The Installation Management website was created to automate the equipment installation process for Canon’s Retail (Government Marketing and National Accounts) Divisions and their servicing dealers. With the new website, Canon will automatically notify dealers of pending installations and compensation. Servicing Dealers will be able to submit confirmation of installations which will automatically trigger billing and compensation processes. Access to the site is provided via the CNA site specific template.
Installation Management may not apply to your dealership as it is a recently released Retail function.
Click here to view the steps to assign Installation Management access:
Click the CNA link in the Resident Sites area on the Create/Update User Profile screen. The CNA Site Specific Template pops up.
Complete the Attributes in the CNA Site Specific Template. The Attributes are completed.
Check the Site Access box in the CNA Access field. This allows the CNA tab to appear on the user’s ISG Central homepage
Check the Installation Management role in the Retail Business Support role group.
Click the Assign button and then the Close button. You are returned to the create/update user template. If this is the only assignment or update for this user, you must click the save button in the create/update user template screen.
Once the user’s profile has been completed it will go through workflow for the Retail Administrators (two members of GMD & NAD Headquarters) to approve and complete additional setup in the Canon systems.
After the Retail Administrators have
approved the Installation Management request in the Messages area, a Welcome
email will be automatically sent to the user. However,
additional setup in Canon’s systems needs to be performed before the user
has full access. If
the user attempts to access the system right after the email is received,
he or she may not yet have complete access to Installation Management.
Users should
receive access within 24 hours.
Canon is providing web-based training on the Learning Zone for users to learn about the Installation Management website. Users will need to be given Learning Zone access to be able to take the course. To provide users with access please see the Assigning Access to the Learning Zone topic.
