ISG - Resetting a User's Password

Before using the below steps to reset a user’s password, remember that ISG Central users can manage their passwords themselves by clicking on the Forgot Password/Reset Password link on the ISG Central login page.

 

To reset a user's password:

 

  1. Click the Reports button and select Admin Utilities from the list. The Search for Users screen displays.

 

  1. Enter the search criteria and click the Search button to retrieve the user’s record. The Search results screen displays with Admin Utilities options listed on the bottom.

 

  1. Click the checkbox to the left of the [View History] for each user you wish to select.

 

  1. Select the Reset Passwords button.

 

The following confirmation message appears:

 

 

 

 

An email notification will be automatically sent to the user.

Be aware that the reset password is temporary!  After the user uses the password provided in the Reset Password email to login initially, they will be prompted to indicate a new password.
